July 30, 2009 - "Survivalist uses for solar landscape lights" By Joseph Parish. Here is an interesting thought that surely must have crossed many people’s minds in the past. As I sit on my patio I watch the solar lights that surround it and firmly believe that every survivalist should have several of these solar powered landscape lights for use at their bug out retreat or their home in the event of an emergency. July 29, 2009 - "Store your Yeast properly" By Joseph Parish. Yeast is an organism which is similar in character to that of Fungi. There are currently more then 1,500 different species which survive from the cold artic region to the deeps of the ocean. Selection of a sleeping bag for your survival kit
July 28, 2009 - "Selection of a sleeping bag for your survival kit" By Joseph Parish. Most of the active survivalists which I know have some sort of sleeping bag in their “Box of Goodies” in the event that they would need to rough it on a possible bug out event. As a rule, it would be wise to selection a sleeping bag which is effective to at least zero degrees, but you should keep in mind that there are additional requirements which need to be considered as well. As a consumer you are presented with a host of materials such as goose down, quallofil or hollofil as a fill material in your sleeping bag. Therefore, in order to make a wise choice you should be aware of what the pros and cons are for each of these insulation types. Click here

History Unfolding
July 27, 2009 - "History Unfolding" By David Kaiser. I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus. Click here

Include your cat in disaster-preparedness plans
July 23, 2009 - "Include your cat in disaster-preparedness plans" By Melissa Kruse. The current swine flu situation has added an apocalyptic air to life in Seattle. Cats cannot contract swine flu, but I got to thinking about what would happen to my pets if I had to be hauled away in a wheel barrel teeming with other plague victims on my street. Or, what if I was stuck beneath some twisted wreckage following Seattle’s inevitable magnitude 9 earthquake and couldn’t reach the bag of California Natural? Would they have to eat me? Click here

Revenge on Bambi
July 21, 2009 - "Revenge on Bambi" By Joseph Parish. Remember the night that Bambi ran in front of your new truck and left you with a three thousand dollar repair bill? Granted the deer may now be dead but you still haven’t reaped your full revenge on him yet have you? Why not grab up this truck hitter and clean him immediately so you can put him into some canning jars. In this manner you can saver your revenge slowly over the following year. An important point here is to get the road kill cleaned and cooled as quickly as possible. Click here

Supplies for Home Schooling
July 20, 2009 - "Supplies for Home Schooling" By Joseph Parish. With the situation as it is in America today I have decided to once again home school my grandson. There is currently a lot of talk about the Child’s Corp of Mr. Obama’s which is highly reminiscent of the Hitler days of German. I have recently heard that flu shots may be given to school children this coming year whether the parent or guardian desire it or not. In view of these revelations I feel it is best to go back to a home school environment. Click here

Some thoughts on Storage Space
July 19, 2009 - "Some thoughts on Storage Space" By Joseph Parish. As survivalists we never seem to have adequate space for stock up with the important supplies that may be required to assure our survival whenever an emergency condition occurs. A modest amount of thought on most of our parts can undoubtedly disclose some very exciting hiding places. That is exactly what this article is all about. Click here

Will the Pandemic Lead us to Martial Law
July 18, 2009 - "Will the Pandemic Lead us to Martial Law?" By Joseph Parish. I feel that it is ultimately feasible that a declared pandemic here in America would result in not only the introduction of martial law but also of enforced vaccinations. That’s right, we could easily lose our cherished constitutional rights under such conditions and considering the socialist currently in office at this time that inspiration tends to scare me. Passive Protection in times of crisis
July 14, 2009 - "Passive Protection in times of crisis" By Joseph Parish. For many reasons one can not often protect their assets as they would like to. These reasons may range from the lack of the necessary money to accomplish all that would be needed to various local ordinances which would forbid installing certain protective devices. Even if you can not afford all the luxuries of protection that other survivalists have done there are still ways that you can adequately protect your home and your family in times of crisis. Obama and ACORN GPS Marking Every Front Door in America
July 11, 2009 - "Obama and ACORN GPS Marking Every Front Door in America?" by JB Williams. The same week that Americans learned that they were “domestic terrorists”—at least according to Obama’s new DHS (Department of Homeland Security),—if they own a bible, a pocket Constitution or guns, and still believe in Life, Liberty and Freedom, - they also learned that Obama’s Census Bureau had hired thousands of new temporary employees, equipped each with a handheld GPS computer and sent them out to mark GPS coordinates for every residential front door in America. Mistakes commonly made by Survivalists
July 7, 2009 - "Mistakes commonly made by Survivalists" By Joseph Parish. We are all survivalists and were beginners at one time or other and each of us could perhaps share an interesting anecdote or two concerning our experiences. Unfortunately, the new survivalists often learn the tricks of the trade the hard way and many times even the more experienced of us survivalists may overlook important aspects associated with bugging out or retreat creation. Although the saying of live and learn may apply to most situations I for one do not desire to chance a philosophy such as that to the well being and survival of my family in an emergency situation. Perhaps this short article may serve as a reminder to both the newbie’s as well as for the experienced pros in what not to do. Click here

Cloning Plants
July 3, 2009 - "Cloning Plants" By Joseph Parish. Several months ago my friend Wayne and i were talking about my training in being able to clone plants and we thought that would be a great talent for survivalists to know. Well I finally got around to writing an article on cloning. There may perhaps come a day when cloning a plant would be the only way that you and I can obtain one of our favorite tomato or pepper plants for our garden. As survivalists this can be very important to us in order to ensure our continued existence. In that case I would like to impart his article on plant cloning. Click here

The difference between cardiac arrest and a heart attack
July 2, 2009 - "The difference between cardiac arrest and a heart attack" By Joseph Parish. With the passing of Michael Jackson recently there has been a lot of commentary on what the difference is between cardiac arrest and a heart attack, if anything. The word on the street these days is whether they are the same thing with merely a different name? Why do they refer to it as cardiac arrest in place of a heart attack? Click here

Bring it on

When was the last time that Delmarva area had major hurricanes with its damaging winds and torrential flooding? Would you know what to do in the event of a hurricane? How would you prepare for a possible violent storm? How would you keep your family members safe if a flood were to hit our area?
